Sydney Wiese – Townsville Fire

Former point guard Sydney Wiese helped the Townsville Fire (Australia) to its third WNBL Championship in the last four seasons, as the squad defeated Melbourne in the title series on Sunday. Wiese averaged 7.5 points per game for the Fire this season, shooting 42 percent from the floor. She also shot 92 percent from the free throw line, and tallied 2.25 assists per contest.

Wiese was selected by the Los Angeles Sparks in last year's WNBA Draft, and was part of an LA squad that went to the WNBA Finals in 2017.

RUTH HAMBLIN – Tango Bourges Basket

Center Ruth Hamblin joined the French team Tango Bourges Basket on Jan. 15. Hamblin helped Bourges earn a victory in her first game with the squad, as the team netted a 60-46 win over Villenneuve D'Ascq. The Canadian Hammer played 12 minutes in her debut, converting her only field goal attempt and knocking down both of her free throws. Hamblin also pulled down three rebounds in the contest. Bourges returns to action on Saturday.

JAMIE (WEISNER) SCOTT – Uni Ferrol

Jamie (Weisner) Scott is currently playing in Spain for Star Center-Uni Ferrol. The squad currently sits third in the standings, with a record of 12-4. Individually, Scott is shooting 54 percent from inside the arc, as well as 53 percent from 3-point range. She is averaging nearly 17 points and 4.7 rebounds per contest on the season. Uni Ferrol will face Spar Citylift Girona on Saturday.

PATRICIA BRIGHT – Montbrison Feminin

Patricia Bright is in France, playing for Montbrison Feminines. The team has a record of 8-6 so far this season. Bright has played in all 14 games, averaging 14.4 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. Bright is shooting 47.9 percent from the floor and is averaging slightly over one block per contest. Montbrison will return to action on Saturday vs. Charnay.
