OSU to Host No. 9 USC Sunday

THIS WEEKEND
• The Beavers continue Pac-12 Conference action on Sunday hosting No. 9 USC at 1:00 p.m. The match will be broadcast on Pac-12 Networks.
• Sunday's match will complete a three-match stretch, where the Beavers faced a ranked team.

A WIN ON FRIDAY WOULD
• Be the 244th win in program history.
• Be the Beavers sixth win of the season and fifth at Paul Lorenz Field.
• Be the Beavers first win in Pac-12 Conference play.
• Be OSU's sixth win against USC, (24th meeting).
• Be the Beavers second win at home against USC, (12th time).
• Be HC Linus Rhode's fourth win over USC, (2009-11).

SCOUTING THE TROJANS
• USC enters Sunday's match with an 8-2 overall mark and 2-0 in Pac-12 action. The Trojans are ranked No. 9 in the NSCAA Poll.
• The Trojans recorded its second win in loop play on Thursday after they defeated Oregon, 3-1.
• USC started its Pac-12 slate last week with a 4-0 victory at Arizona.
• The Trojans carry an eight match winning streak, as they haven't lost since dropping their first two matches back in August.
• USC has shutout seven of its opponents, including No. 8 North Carolina.
• USC has dominated its opponents, outscoring them 24-5 and holding them to a 0.50 goals scored per game so far this season.
• Senior goalkeeper, Sammy Jo Prudhomme leads the Trojans between the pipes and the Pac-12 with her 44 saves and a .898 save percentage. She will enter Sunday's match with six shutouts—tied for second in Pac-12.
• HC for the Trojans is Keidane McAlpine is in his 3rd season and holds a 28-12-5 record.

UP NEXT
• The Beavers will continue loop action next week as they travel to Utah and Colorado.
• OSU will face Utah on Thursday, Oct. 6 at 6 p.m., before closing its road trip at Colorado on Sunday, Oct. 9 at 12 p.m. Both matches will be broadcast on Pac-12 Networks.

FOLLOW THE RHODE
• OSU head coach Linus Rhode is in his ninth season.
• He has guided the Beavers to three NCAA Tournament appearances, including a Sweet 16 run in 2009.
• He is 3-4-1 all-time against USC.
• He carries a 77-77-20 overall record and is 28-50-6 in Pac-12 matches.

USC SERIES HISTORY
• Sunday's match will mark the 24th meeting between Oregon State and USC.
• USC holds a 16-5-2 all-time record in a series that started back in 1993.
• Four of the five Beaver wins in the series, come while playing at USC. OSU's only win in Corvallis was a 1-0 upset in 2010 when the Trojans were ranked No. 19.
• The Trojans hold an 8-1-2 advantage in matches played in Corvallis.
• USC holds a 6-3-1 record in the last 10 meetings, with OSU tallying wins from 2009-11 and a tie in 2012.
• One goal has decided the last eight matches, dating back to the 2007 season.
• The Trojans saturate the series in goals, holding a 52-24 advantage against OSU.
• The Beavers are 2-7 when USC is ranked, with the pair of wins in 2009 and 2010 when the Trojans were ranked No. 9 and 19, respectfully.

ROSTER BREAKDOWN
• OSU head coach Linus Rhode welcomes 12 players that started a match and 15 letterwinners back from the 2015-16 season.
• The squad will also welcome six newcomers to start their careers at Oregon State.
• The Beavers have 26 student-athletes on the roster, including 10-of-13 players that appeared in all-19 or 18 matches last season.
• Of the 26 SA's on this year's roster, three started every match last year.

LAST WEEK
• Oregon State continued Pac-12 action last Thursday and fell to No. 11 UCLA, 1-0 in its home opener at Paul Lorenz Field.
