
Mary-Kate Marshall Named Preseason All-Pac-12

The junior was the 2014 Pac-12 Freshman of the Year
SAN FRANCISCO – Oregon State junior outside hitter Mary-Kate Marshall has been selected to the preseason volleyball All-Pac-12 Conference team, it was announced on Wednesday.
Marshall, the 2014 Pac-12 Freshman of the Year, needs just 53 kills to hit 1,000 for her career. She's averaged 4.01 per set over her two seasons in Corvallis.
The Coppell, Texas native started in all 30 of the team's matches last season – and 62 of a possible 63 since coming to OSU – finishing with 407 kills, 22 service aces and 226 digs.
In two seasons, she has 52 aces, 532 digs and 101 total blocks to go along with her 947 kills.
Marshall and the Beavers will participate in the team's annual Orange & Black Scrimmage Friday night at Gill Coliseum. The match is free to the public and started at 7 p.m. Fans are invited to stay after the match as the team will be signing autographs.
OSU opens the season by hosting the Ultra Ankle Challenge at Gill Coliseum. The Beavers open August 26 with a match against Utah State at 10 a.m. OSU will also play Portland that night at 7 p.m. The tournament ends when the Beavers face Seattle at 7 p.m. on August 27.
