Pickerell Named WGCA All-American Scholar

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. –Ashlee Pickerell was named an All-American Scholar by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) for the second consecutive year on Tuesday.

The criteria for selection to the WGCA All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics with the minimum cumulative GPA being a 3.50.

Pickerell, a senior from Albany, Ore., carries a 3.68 cumulative GPA in public health. She earned Pac-12 All-Academic honors the last three years, garnering Second Team recognition as a senior and junior and Honorable Mention as a sophomore.

After transferring to Oregon State from the University of Tennessee in 2012, Pickerell played in every tournament for the Beavers. She finished her career with a scoring average of 77.30, the ninth best in school history.

Her best finish was a tie for 10th place at the Rose City Collegiate as a sophomore and her best score was a 2-under 70 at the Anuenue Spring Break Classic as a junior.
