Beavers Continue Pac-12 Play at Utah

• The Beavers continue Pac-12 Conference action Thursday at Utah at 6:00 p.m., (PT). and on Sunday at Colorado starting at 12:00 p.m., (PT).Â
• Both matches will be broadcast on Pac-12 Networks.

A WIN ON THURSDAY WOULD
• Be the 244th win in program history.
• Be the Beavers sixth win of the season and second win away from Paul Lorenz Field.
• Be the Beavers first win in Pac-12 Conference play.
• Be OSU's fourth win against Utah, (8th meeting).
• Be the Beavers second win at Utah, (4th time).
• Be HC Linus Rhode's fourth win over Utah, (2008, '10, '12).

SCOUTING THE UTES
• Utah  enters Thursday's match with a 7-2-2 overall mark and 2-0-1 in Pac-12 action.
• The Utes recorded its second win in loop play last Sunday after they defeated Arizona, 2-1.
• Utah started its Pac-12 slate with a 1-0 victory at Washington and picked up a 1-1 tie at Arizona State.
• The Utes carry a 4-0-2 record in their last six games. Their last lost was a 2-0 defeat against No. 10 BYU on Sept. 5.
• Utah has shutout six of its opponents so far this season.
• Utah holds a goal advantage, outscoring its opponents, 17-8 and holding them to a .73 goals scored per game.
• The Utes also rank third in the Pac-12 in assists with 20 and assists per game with 1.82.
• Redshirt sophomore, July Mathias, and freshman Carly Nelson, have split time this season between the pipes, combining for six shutouts and 35 saves.
• Sophomore Hailey Skolmoski, paces the Utes with seven goals and 16 points this season. She currently ranks second in the Pac-12 in points and first in goals.
• HC for the Utes is Rich Manning in his 15th season and holds a 160-105-36 overall record.

FOLLOW THE RHODE
• OSU head coach Linus Rhode is in his ninth season.
• He has guided the Beavers to three NCAA Tournament appearances, including a Sweet-16 run in 2009.
• He is 3-4 all-time against Utah.
• He carries a 77-78-20 overall record and is 28-51-6 in Pac-12 matches.

UTAH SERIES HISTORY
• Thursday's match will mark the eighth meeting between Oregon State and Utah.
• Utah holds a 4-3 all-time record in a new series that started back in 2008.
• The Beavs started the series with a 1-0 overtime win in 2008 at home and a recorded its lone road win of the series with a 1-0 victory in 2010.
• OSU suffered its first loss of the series with a 1-0 overtime loss in 2011 when it was ranked No. 21 in the polls in Salt Lake City.
• The Beavers last win in the series was in 2012, when they were ranked No. 24 in the poll, with a 2-0 win in Corvallis.
• OSU has suffered a loss in the last three matches of the series, all being by shutout.
• One goal has decided five of the seven matches, included two overtime.
• The series it fairly equal in goals, as Utah holds a 5-4 advantage against OSU.

ROSTER BREAKDOWN
• OSU head coach Linus Rhode welcomes 12 players that started a match and 15 letterwinners back from the 2015-16 season.Â
• The squad will also welcome six newcomers to start their careers at Oregon State.
• The Beavers have 26 student-athletes on the roster, including 10-of-13 players that appeared in all-19 or 18 matches last season.
• Of the 26 SA's on this year's roster, three started every match last year.

• Oregon State continued Pac-12 action last week and suffered a pair of losses.
• The Beavers recorded 3-0 losses to No. 11 UCLA and No. 9 USC at Paul Lorenz Field.

•Junior goalkeeper, Bella Geist is working her way up the all-time saves list at Oregon State.
• The Milwaukee, Ore., native has tallied 255 saves in her career and ranks third in school history.
• Geist recorded four saves against USC on Oct. 2 to past Colleen Boyd (2008-11).
• Mellissa Onstad (2003-06) is second with 337 saves.
