Mary-Kate Marshall finished with 17 kills to lead the team
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Mary-Kate Marshall tallied a match-best 17 kills and Sam Rouleau and Lanesha Reagan each finished with double doubles but the Oregon State volleyball team was edged in four sets by Arizona State Friday night at Gill Coliseum.

Set scores were 25-14, 22-25, 13-25 and 21-25.

Marshall's 17 kills gave her 1,256 for her career, surpassing Allison Lawrence (2001-04) for seventh place in Oregon State history. Marshall, a junior in 2016, will move into sixth with 43 more kills.

Marshall added nine digs, putting her just shy of a double double.

Rouleau posted 19 assists and 10 digs for her third consecutive double double, while Reagan's was her team-leading eighth of the season. The redshirt sophomore finished with 12 kills and 12 digs.

McKenna Hollingsworth finished with 27 assists as Oregon State (8-14 overall, 1-10 Pac-12 Conference), overall, had 52 to Arizona State's 42. The Beavers also out-dug the Sun Devils, 71-to-54, but it was ASU (9-14, 2-9) that led in blocks, 13-to-6.

Katelyn Driscoll and Serena Bruin tied for the team lead with three digs, and Kory Cheshire had two. Cheshire also finished with nine kills, just two shy of equaling her season high.

The Beavers won the first set after hitting .467 during the frame. The set saw four ties and two lead changes.
