Trio of Beavers Highlight OSU at Pink Meet

WESTWOOD, Calif. — The Oregon State swimming team competed at the Pink Meet hosted by UCLA at Spieker Aquatics Center on Saturday afternoon.

OSU freshman Felicia Anderson highlighted the Beavers in the 200-yard backstroke with a second place finish and logging a time of 2:01.69, which is another career best.

Senior Anni Hecker returned to the pool after being sidelined last week with injury. and finished ninth place in the 100-yard freestyle with a career-best mark of 52.35.

Junior Corrine Shigeta also placed high for the Beavers after recording a fifth place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:21.62.

Andrea Young, Hecker, Anderson and Sophie MacEwan made up the Oregon State 200-yard Freestyle Relay and finished second overall with a 1:35.77 touch.

Oregon State will return to Corvallis and host the Alumni Relays on Saturday, October 29 at Osborn Aquatic Center.
