Hollingsworth, Rouleau Post Double Doubles Vs. CU

The double double was the first of Rouleau's career
BOULDER, Colo. – McKenna Hollingsworth and Sam Rouleau each recorded double doubles and Mary-Kate Marshall finished with a match-best 18 kills but the Oregon State volleyball team was edged by Colorado in four sets Friday night at the Coors Event Center.

Set scores were 21-25, 25-18, 19-25 and 23-25.

Hollingsworth finished with 25 assists and 14 digs for her fifth double double of the season, and first in Pac-12 Conference play. Rouleau, meanwhile, tallied 17 assists and 12 digs for her first career double double.

Marshall led both teams with 18 kills, doing so on 51 attempts, just shy of a season-high for the junior from Coppell, Texas. Already in sole possession of eighth in Oregon State (8-12 overall, 1-8 Pac-12) history for kills, she inched closer to seventh and now stands at 1,224 in two-and-a-half seasons with the Beavers.

Lila Toner tied her season best with 14 kills, and Lanesha Reagan was just shy of her seventh double double as she tallied 12 kills and nine digs.

Kayla Ellis led Oregon State defensively, finishing with 14 digs, while Serena Bruin tied her season high with six blocks.

The Beavers had a decided advantage at the net, finishing with 10 blocks to Colorado's (12-7, 4-5) six. OSU also led in serve aces with six to the Buffaloes' three.

The match was close throughout, with seven lead changes and 18 ties. Oregon State won set two after hitting .289 during the frame and holding Colorado to a .175 clip.
