Beavers Host Sun Devils Thursday

SCOUTING THE SUN DEVILS
• Arizona State enters Thursday's match with a 6-6-2 overall mark and 1-4-1 in Pac-12 action.
• The Sun Devils are coming off of a pair of Pac-12 losses to Washington State and USC.
• The Sun Devils started their season 5-2-1 in the non-conference schedule, including recording four shutouts.
• Since starting league play, Arizona State has struggled, scoring only five goals and shutout four times in its six matches.
• ASU is 0-3 ranked teams so far this season, with two ranked schools left to play.
• The Sun Devils carry a 3-6-1 record in their last 10 matches.
• Arizona State holds a slight goal advantage, outscoring its opponents, 22-17 and holds them to 1.21 goals per game.
• The Sun Devils rank fourth in the Pac-12 in saves with 60.
• Redshirt-junior, Megan Delaney and freshman Emma Malsy have split time between the pipes combining for 60 saves and four shutouts.
• Junior, Jazmarie Mader, paces Arizona State with eight goals, which ranks her third in the Pac-12. Redshirt-senior, Lucy Lara leads the team with three assists.
• HC for Arizona State is Kevin Boyd in his 10th season and holds a 90-80-23 overall record.

ARIZONA STATE SERIES HISTORY
• Thursday's match will mark the 20th meeting between Oregon State and Arizona State.
• Arizona State holds a 12-6-1 all-time record in a series that started back in 1997.
• OSU suffered a loss in the first seven matches of the series and is 6-5-1 since.
• The Beavers recorded their first win in 2004 in Corvallis, 1-0 in overtime.
• Oregon State is 3-4-1 while playing at home.
• OSU's last series win was a 1-0 victory in 2013.
• The Beavers have been shut out 10 times in the series, including the last two matches.
• The Sun Devils saturate the series in goals, outscoring the Beavers 23-11.
• One goal has decided 15 of the 19 matches, with just one tie and six overtimes.

FOLLOW THE RHODE
• OSU head coach Linus Rhode is in his ninth season.
• He has guided the Beavers to three NCAA Tournament appearances, including a Sweet-16 run in 2009.
• He is 3-4-1 all-time against Stanford.
• He carries a 77-81-20 overall record and is 28-54-6 in Pac-12 matches.

ROSTER BREAKDOWN
• OSU head coach Linus Rhode welcomed 12 players that started a match and 15 letterwinners back from the 2015-16 season.
• The squad also welcomed six newcomers to start their careers at Oregon State.
• The Beavers have 26 student-athletes on the roster, including 10-of-13 players that appeared in all-19 or 18 matches last season.
• Of the 26 SA's on this year's roster, three started every match last year.

LAST WEEK
• Oregon State continued Pac-12 action last week suffering a loss to No. 3 Stanford on Friday night.
• The Beavers never trailed in the match until the Cardinal scored with two second left in the match to give them the improbable victory and to stun OSU.

UP NEXT
• The Beavers will continue league action on the weekend as they close their home schedule against Arizona at 1 p.m.
• OSU will honor its five seniors that will play their last match on Paul Lorenz Field prior to the start of the match.
