Reagan Leads Beavers In Loss To USC

The double double was the sixth of the season for Lanesha Reagan
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Lanesha Reagan finished with 12 kills and a career-best 18 digs for her sixth double double of the season in Oregon State's three-set loss to USC Sunday afternoon at Gill Coliseum.

Set scores were 20-25, 23-25 and 18-25.

Reagan tied Mary-Kate Marshall for the team lead in kills, and paced the Beavers with her career-best 18 digs. That surpassed her previous best of 13 against UCLA last season.

Her season-best leading up to Sunday was 12 against Wyoming.
Â
Marshall, meanwhile, finished with her 12 kills on 39 attempts, and in the process, grabbed sole possession of eighth in Oregon State (8-11 overall, 1-7 Pac-12 Conference) career history. The junior has 1,206 for her career, which surpassed Rachel Hochgesang (1,199 from 1993-96). Next up for Marshall is No. 7 Allison Lawrence, who totaled 1,255 from 2001-04.

Marshall added four blocks – including one solo – and two digs.

Kayla Ellis totaled 14 digs and three assists, while Lila Toner was close behind Reagan and Marshall with seven kills on 29 attempts. She also finished with three blocks.

McKenna Hollingsworth led the Beavers with 18 assists while Sam Rouleau set a season-high with 15.

USC (13-6, 5-3) hit .233 to the Beavers' .157. The teams were close on blocks, with SC totaling 10 to Oregon State's 8.5. The Women of Troy also had 43 assists to 38 for the Beavers. USC, however, out-dug Oregon State, 65-to-49.

Oregon State is back in action Friday night when visiting Colorado in a match that starts at 5 p.m. PT (6 p.m. in Boulder). The match can be seen on Pac-12 Oregon and Pac-12 Mountain.
